Hailing from Greenville, South Carolina, and Athens, Greece, Nile has been a pioneering force in the death metal scene since 1993. Nile is known for their complex compositions and their highly demanding brand of technical death metal playing both on albums and on the stage. Their thematic focus is on ancient Egyptian history and mythology, along with a healthy dose of H.P.

Their discography includes many influential albums such as Amongst the Catacombs of Nephren-Ka (1998), Annihilation of the Wicked (2005), and Vile Nilotic Rites (2019).
